Mother Muff’s is a restaurant located in Old Colorado City off of Colorado Ave. This place has a lot of everything! They serve breakfast all day, have live music, and even game nights that consist of trivia and poker. This Sunday we went for Jam Brunch which is from 11am to 2pm and walking in our ears were instantly filled with vibrant music and laughter. It is a seat yourself place so picked the only open table next to the bar and kitchen. We had no idea how popular this place was on Sundays but we really enjoyed the busy atmosphere. A waitress was with us almost immediately telling us about the half price drink special for bloody mary’s and mimosa’s until 3pm. Mimosa’s are my favorite so I was ready to take advantage of this offer and we were pleased she shared the specials with us up front. It’s not everyday someone lets you know deals and specials, surprisingly. After we ordered drinks we started scanning the menu. I had been here once before with friends and they suggested the breakfast pizza which I remembered to be awesome so I had to have my husband try it. We also ordered strawberry cream cheese stuffed french toast and an order of hot wings. We waited a little longer than normal for our food since they were so busy but we were thoroughly entertained by the live music. We loved looking around at the old architecture of the space as well. It was built in 1901 and through the years many business’s have occupied the space but they believed it was important to keep the true character of the building which we enjoyed. As soon as our food came we were ready to chow down as I like to say, and man it was so good! My favorite was the breakfast pizza, I wanted to eat the whole thing. This is definitely one of our favorite breakfast items now and so unique, I have never seen it on a menu before. My husband started on the wings, they were super big with good flavor and crispy. We finished with the stuffed french toast and definitely had to take some food to go! All in all we really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place and learned about all the other fun events they put on there, we can’t wait to go back for a burger and games.
