So last night the husband and I went up to dinner to have a double date with some friends that have recently moved. They were so excited to eat with us and wanted to go to a cool place for us to food blog! While we have really been craving hibachi we decided to try Benihana. We have heard how awesome and fun this place is so we figured it was the perfect place to blog and have a double date.
As we walked into the restaurant they were extremely packed for a Monday night! We were so happy we decided to call ahead and make a reservation as we were not anticipating them to be this busy. I would definitely suggest making a reservation if you decide to try this place, they work 95% off reservations. When we got to our table we quickly started scanning the menu for drinks and food. I decided on the Haiku Colada which I have to say was the best Colada I have ever had. My husband chose the Benihana Mojito that has Benihana Sake in it for a more fresh drink this evening. He also loves yellowtail so he chose to get the Chili Ponzu Yellowtail to start. He said it was super yummy as he really has been digging the jalapeño with the yellowtail sashimi lately. After that we were ready to start out 6 course meal. I ordered the deluxe treat that includes fillet mignon and cold water lobster with lemon and butter. My husband ordered the hibachi supreme, a Chateaubriand 8 oz. steak and cold water lobster with lemon and better. The 6 course meal includes onion soup, salad, chicken fried rice, grilled shrimp appetizer, and zucchini and onions, green tea, and ice cream at the end. The chef quickly got to cooking our food, he did lots of fun entertaining tricks including a beating heart out of the fried rice! We loved everything we ate, it all had good flavor and was cooked perfectly.
The food was all so tasty and our service was on point as well. The manager even came over at the end of our meal to make sure everything was as we expected and our waiter boxed up our food. It’s the little things like that, that can really add to your experience and how you view the restaurant. This was a perfect double date for us and a great place to review!
