It was Pi day last week so of course we had to go get a slice of pie to celebrate!
We chose to check out 3.14 Pi bar over on the west side of Colorado Springs to get our fix. This local pie bar serves sweet pies and pot pies. When we walked in they were still pretty busy, but had a table available for us. We first glanced at their glass case full of pies to see what looked yummy and then checked out the menu. Unfortunately the service was very slow we waited about 15 minutes before we were even greeted for drinks. They were super busy and it was the end of a very long day for them which we totally understood. We are all human but that was one thing that was lacking for us in this experience. Besides that however the food was great! We ordered Sweet and Savory Poutine that had sweet potato fries, gravy, and cheese curds to top it off. Using sweet potato fries was a new way for us to have this dish and we really loved the flavor. For pie my husband ordered the Wicked Black Bottom Bourbon Pecan, and I chose the Blueberry Peach. They asked us if we wanted it warmed and with ice cream which I thought was a great touch. Both pies were super tasty, and we are excited to go back and try their savory pot pies next time.
