Hello All! I apologize again for being distant, this food journey has really taken off which is amazing but means we are so busy! So many exciting things have happened that we will touch base on thought out the next few posts but for now Over Easy!
Over Easy is one of my favorite breakfast brunch spots. They have amazing food and great mimosas, you just can’t go wrong! Inside they are usually pretty busy which creates great energy for the space. They have some community long table tops as well as a bar area and then tables and booths. We were lucky this time and didn’t have to wait too long to be seated. As soon as we sat down our server greeted us and she was super amazing! She engaged and gave great recommendations of things we didn’t even know you could do. She suggested to the husband that he get the salty dog for a drink but substitute tequila which he was all about. I ordered the blood orange mimosa as well. A fun fact about them is they make their own pineapple infused vodka and have it displaced throughout the restaurant. After we got our drinks it was time for food! I ordered the classic benedict, husband ordered the chicken and the egg, and our friend from the Local Motive that joined us got the rocky mountain corned beef hash. We loved that our server asked if we wanted loaded hash browns, didn’t even know that was a thing! Hector chose the upgrade and he really enjoyed it. Once our food came it was game over, their ingredients are so fresh and everything is cooked to perfection. I practically was licking my plate from the hollandaise sauce on my benny. Husband loved his chicken and the egg which is their version of country fried chicken and Lacie thought the corned beef hash was outstanding.
What we love about Over Easy also is that they chose local ingredients whenever possible and we think that you can really tell the difference in their quality of food. This breakfast spot is always busy for a reason and you can’t doubt that they know how to do it right and care about the local community. It will always be one of our favorite spots. And I have to say again how amazing our service was during this visit. Our server was outstanding and the manager even came over after to ask us how everything was. Like we always say it’s the little things that make a big difference.
